The decision to add a fourth S206 CNC screw machine was a no-brainer after seeing the impact that the first three have made. Adding four new state-of-the-art turning centers over the past 3 years has posed a few challenges. We have been very busy here at Thomas W. Springer Inc. re-configuring the shop floor to accommodate the increased capacity. Machines have been relocated (including our third S206) along with inspection equipment, electrical lines and material racks to improve the overall flow of the production floor to take full advantage of the additional capacity. With some creative scheduling, all of these changes were completed with minimal interruption to our production and delivery schedules.
