Tsugami revamped the S206 platform this year which gave TWS the ability to upgrade to a 26mm machine over the standard 20mm capacity of their other S206s. Some other notable changes are a heavier collet system so TWS can do more aggressive turning and more live tools on both the main and sub side, allowing them to machine more complex parts. The new machine replaced the Miyano BX-26S and even though their barstock capacity did not change, they gained more tools on the main side as well as live tooling on the sub side. The new S206-II, like their other S206s, is also convertible, so it can be run as a traditional sliding headstock Swiss Turn using the guide bushing or run without the guide bushing as a chucker, and is equipped with an LNS magazine barfeed, Firetrace unit, mist collection system and an accumulation table for lights out running.
